Our Client is one of the largest integrated energy companies in the world.
They are currently seeking an HES Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE: The HES Manager will provide direct functional HES oversight to the project. This position will be a key resource to the Deputy General Director, Engineering & Projects, in achieving full compliance with Caspian Pipeline Consortium health, environment and safety processes and results.
KEY FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: - Supervise HES staff - Provide strong HES leadership, visible to CPC team, contractors and other key stakeholders - Support CPC led project team by ensuring compliance with HES processes, standards and programs - Ensuring proper oversight of contractor health, environment and safety performance - Ensure compliance with health, environmental and safety regulations - Ensure HES input into development of Invitation to Tender packages for major construction work - Review and provide HES input to construction bid evaluations - Ensure construction contractors prepare and implement HES plans and procedures in compliance with contract requirements - Ensure development and timely issuance of reports
SUPERVISION/MENTORING: Able to drive strong HES performance throughout the project team, contractors, and key stakeholders. Demonstrated strong and active leadership skills to manage and lead all HES aspects of a large project active over large geographical area. Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with safe practices and compliance with all environmental and safety laws and regulations. Strong organizational skills to build and sustain HES organizational capability. SAFETY CULTURE: Personal commitment, experience, and proven performance in building and sustaining a strong safety culture with demonstrated performance in executing major capital projects in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Able to champion the development and maintenance of a strong HES culture. Strong focus on HES with proven track record of proactive safety and environmental leadership. Enables a stop work culture. Demonstrated knowledge of: JSA, BBS, STOP/START, incident investigation and documentation, site inspections. Reinforces HES processes in all aspects of day to day operations including safety meetings, near miss reporting, etc. Sets clear expectations and provides feedback to employees and Business Partner personnel. Supports training processes and programs. Monitors HES performance of numerous Business Partners to drive incident free performance.
TEAM EFFECTIVENESS: Experience in managing multidiscipline teams on large major capital projects. Must be experienced in establishing team work plans, priorities, roles and responsibilities. Recognized as providing positive team environment where people want to come and work. Allows people to contribute their best and fosters learning and mentoring culture. Strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural environments with proven ability to influence towards achieving desired outcomes |
